Let me get th...Alright, Anon from Chippewa Nation. Let me get this straight, you won't use proper grammar because we aren't your professors? Wow, good to see that education bleeding over to your social life.

Now onto the inaccuracies of your post.

While you didn't say anything about the offensive unit itself, what you fail to realize is that a team with balance doesn't have to rely on their QB. While Hiller might put up great numbers, his run game blows and they have to rely on him throwing the ball all the time. So, maybe instead of just glaring at the stat sheet and picking out...oooohhhh YARDS. Let's make little more intelligent decision. I know its early, but it's obvious.

Pass Efficiency Rating
Nate Diggity Davis - 168 (nestled between Harrell and Tebow)
Tim Not Far Behind Hiller - 153
Yards Per Attempt
ND - 9.56 y/a
TH - 7.55 y/a

Those are damning apples to apples stats.

Antonio Brown is 25th in the country in Kick Returns and 92nd in KR Average. So, they do kick to him, quite a bit. And your notion of it being 'between the numbers' when they do kick to him is ridiculous. That would be the opposite of kicking away from someone.

This isn't a Heisman conversation, so lets just avoid that.

Ok, so lets discuss Purdue and Georgia. I'm assuming you just don't watch any football, because you're way off.

Georgia gave up 17+ to:
Georgia Southern (21)
CMU (17)
Alabama (41)
LSU (38)
Florida (49)
Kentucky (38)

I count six...so, what's your point? High powered offense? I'll give you Florida and CMU. Alabama has a mediocre offense that scores points because of their ridiculous defense and special teams. LSU? Jarret Lee is the beginning and end of this conversation. Kentucky? Ummm, 72nd ranked scoring offense. Georgia Southern? I get a big error when I try and compute that statistic.

As for your contention that the 2nd game of the season...something something, Navy? Don't be surprised when Navy puts up more points against NIU than CMU did...in Ovahtime.

What you're saying about Purdue is that your coach couldn't figure out in three games how to out-coach Wilford Brimley? Nice.

On to the KR defense trickeration that you've developed. Big returns...from Miami and NIU.

MoO - 4 Returns 82 yds
NIU - 8 Returns 194 yds

So, in the two games you watched...they averaged 23 yards against Ball State. Sure, that might be above average but hardly something to be worried about.

Oooh, I like facts! What do you have?

antonio will make alot of your players look like they cant tackle on wednesday.

Ok. I have a fact for you.

con·jec·ture: a conclusion deduced by surmise or guesswork

What you have said is not a fact, but conjecture. Now if you would've said something about Antonio making the Cards defense look like a Romeo Crennel coached defense, I would've applauded the effortless attempt at destroying two of my favorite teams simultaneously.

si·mul·ta·neous: existing or occurring at the same timeRVhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14298042173093245058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36312211.post-80754179812502499912008-11-19T01:14:00.000-05:002008-11-19T01:14:00.000-05:00The Cards will roll tonight! Your time as the champs has come to an end.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36312211.post-12942449352522741672008-11-18T21:12:00.000-05:002008-11-18T21:12:00.000-05:00lets compare apples to apples. I was strictly focusing on nate davis. And if Davis throws for 1,000 yards more this game i will take the hiller statement back. antonio is 92nd in kick return average because people rarely kick to him, and when they do it is between the numbers. nonetheless antonio is on rivals top 20 returner list
and as for "heisman numbers" how do you not give the heisman to someone with the numbers tebow had? and yes one of the big twelve qb's, colt or graham, will most likely win the heisman. If not tebow again. As for droping 300 passing yards on us. IT IS ENTIRELY POSSIBLE trust me it has happened all year long. Tim Hiller put up 471 on us. They still came up ten points short. concerning my grammar. sorry if i offended you when i was writing in internet speak, not for one of my professors.
As for the shittings at Purdue and georgia... Georgia has only let more than 17 points four times this year..to florida ...LSU...BAMA...Georgia Southern 3 out of 4 of those teams have HIGH powered offenses, and they are ranked. plus im sure you can agree that in the second game of the year you are not at your best (I am citing of course the second highest points in against ball state in second week against navy)who is NOT a good team.
Purdue...we have played them three times in less than one year. save it to say...we know eachother. the competition would be close between any two teams who know eachother THAT well. not making excuses.. we should have won. as for your kick return i am mistaken... sorry i was just going off the big returns from miami of ohio, and NIU.. i should have done more research but here is a fact for you...
antonio will make alot of your players look like they cant tackle on wednesday.
regardless I am a fan of the MAC. so i appreciate the 10-0 record. but i am a chippewa, and until proven otherwise we are BACK TO BACK REIGNING CHAMPS and we are that until someone shows us we arent!!! WHOOOO FIRE UP CHIPS!!
YOU BETTER BRING YOUR A GAME TO MOUNT P. THIS WEEK! IT CAN GET PRETTY HOSTILE IN K-SHORTS...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36312211.post-86314130230364893772008-11-18T18:08:00.000-05:002008-11-18T18:08:00.000-05:00"Coach Brady Hoke is apparently a scam artist gett..."Coach Brady Hoke is apparently a scam artist getting weak off cupcake scheduling and a gimmicky offense that is run by a QB that is not all that good to begin
with."

You could replace the words Brady Hoke with the words Charlie Weis for the last 3 yearsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36312211.post-81976379229352213022008-11-18T17:25:00.000-05:002008-11-18T17:25:00.000-05:00'Heisman' numbers?...whatever the hell that means....'Heisman' numbers?...whatever the hell that means.

Troy Smith - 203/311 2542yds 30/6

Yeah...wow. I guess the Big XII QB crew will receive the Heisman this year for putting up 'Heisman' numbers.

First, Hiller's stats are skewed by the 11th game he's played this season, so let's compare apples to apples.

Tim Hiller averages 307YPG with the 92nd ranked rushing offense, leading WMU to the 22nd ranked offense with 430YPG.

Nate Davis averages 264YPG with the 25th ranked rushing offense, leading BSU to the 12th ranked offense with 461YPG.

So, bringing Hiller into the equation and saying that he has nearly 1000 yards more than Nate is very shortsighted. But duly noted...if he's 3/4 of the QB that Hiller is he'll throw for 356 yards against the Chips.

I'm confused...Antonio Brown leads the nation in PR average, but is 92nd in KR average. He averages less in KRs than Armando Allen...so, I'll assume you meant that he leads the league in PR without mentioning KR.

It must be a secret that our kick coverage is weak. So, 18th in the country in PR defense and 27th in KR defense. Let me check...yep, that's above average. Maybe the secret is something I've missed, so fill me in.

As has been said across the interwebs, this is not going to be an easy game for anyone. But for someone who follows a team, you seem to be a little enamored with some bad stats and misleading thought process. If you really think that Nate Davis carved you up last year, and you haven't seen an improvement on D at all, what makes you think he won't improve on his numbers from last year?

Lastly, what exactly do you have against Cardinals? It's not like we're the Ball State Pecking Seagulls...Charlie does his best, take it easy on him.RVhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14298042173093245058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36312211.post-37477605748001784632008-11-18T16:36:00.000-05:002008-11-18T16:36:00.000-05:00Several things...1.) You should use them, lest I make a post of this nonsense and break out my red grading pen.

2.) I have never said Nate Davis was Jesus. In fact, I simply said he was capable of dropping three hundy sticks on you. And I think he will.

3.) Dan LeFevour is not Jesus either. Despite his zOMG heisman numbers brah!!!

4.) Your is not the same as you're.

5.) If the Chips know how to win, what happened with those bed shittings at Purdue and Georgia? Riddle me that.

Regardless... this post will be uber sweet come Wednesday night/Thursday morning.Alanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06189349464228063765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36312211.post-11290544480827428692008-11-18T16:30:00.000-05:002008-11-18T16:30:00.000-05:00You BALLS state fans are wack.. here are a few thi...You BALLS state fans are wack.. here are a few things that you may find interesting....
NATE DAVIS IS NOT JESUS!!!
nate davis is not even the best quarterback in the MAC as of right now. there are 2 that are better. Timm hiller who has nearly 1,000 more yards through the air than davis. And he has done this against better teams. and also...dan lefevour. Dan is one of two quarterbacks ever to have at least 19 rushing td's and 27 passing td's in history...guess who the only other person is to do that.. Tim Tebow (that means those are literally heisman numbers). Also dan is one of only 2 quarterbacks EVER to have 3,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in one season. his only company there is Vince Young. Nate is good. but until he does something truly spectacular he is just another QB with a good arm.
Now as for brown and anderson to be "containable"... heres an interesting fact...your kick coverage is weak its no secret... antonio leads the nation in punt/kick return average. Anderson holds the longest streak in the nation for catching a pass in consecutive games (no one has completely conatined him.
How is the coaching situation a push when butch has only lost 1 game in the MAC? and he has a MAC championship under his belt? good thing your not a bookie. its no secret that our D is not good. every QB we have played has thrown all over us. What will make Nate any different? He did it last year.. 38 points is alot...but 58 is more. The difference is our offense. You might score 40 but well score 41. the chippewas know how to win. it has been proven. it will be a good game tommorow. o yeah and nice mascot... isn't your s a cardinal.. thats a bird. and a pussy bird at that.. FIRE UP CHIPS ...see u wednesday!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
