Ron English was named Eastern Michigan's new HC.Very sought after until his Michigan defense shat the bed in the 2nd half of the 07 season. He ended up at Louisville and was ready to leave that mess right away. I think he'll do a great job and will be competing with the other Directional Michigans in no time.
In breaking news, Mike Haywood has been given an early Christmas present. Rumored to be in the hunt for the Syracuse and Houston HC jobs, he's been confirmed to be named the new HC for Miami of Ohio. Haywood was last seen not calling good plays for the Fighting Irish, but his coaching accumen is obvoius. A great recruiter for ND, he's also a great RB coach. He had stints at Ball State (93-94 RB coach), LSU (95-02 RB/ST), Texas (03-04 RB/ST) so he knows what he's doing.Congrats to both, and welcome to the Thunderdome. Stan is waiting and watching.
